Privacy Policy
Last Updated: November 2025
1. Purpose of This Policy
SketchDuck (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates a browser-based design tool that allows users to create thumbnails, logos, and other graphics without creating an account. This policy describes what information we process, why we process it, and how you can exercise your rights.
2. What We Collect
We designed SketchDuck so that almost all creative work happens locally on your device.
• Project data: Canvas layers, images, and text remain in your browser’s local storage. We never receive a copy unless you explicitly send it to us.
• Technical logs: When you visit our site we may record your IP address (truncated), browser/OS version, preferred language, referrer URL, and timestamp. This is used to keep the service secure and to understand high-level trends.
• Support messages: If you submit an inquiry we store the content of the message and the contact information you provide so we can reply.
• Advertising identifiers: Pages that render Google AdSense may set cookies or use similar technologies. Google manages those identifiers under its own policy.
3. How We Use the Information
We use the information listed above to:
• render and save your projects on the current device
• prevent abuse and diagnose service issues
• analyze anonymous usage patterns to prioritize improvements
• comply with legal obligations (e.g., responding to lawful requests)
We do not sell or rent personal information and we do not use project content for model training or marketing.
4. Legal Basis
Depending on your region we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
• performance of a contract (providing the editor you requested)
• legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention, analytics limited to aggregated insights)
• your consent (optional cookies/ads managed by Google – you can manage these through your browser)
5. Storage and Retention
• Project files live only in your browser cache/local storage until you delete them, clear the cache, or uninstall the browser.
• Technical logs are kept for up to 90 days unless we must retain them longer for security, legal, or debug reasons.
• Inquiry records are stored for up to 1 year so we can track follow-up and compliance history.
6. Third Parties
We may share limited data with trusted vendors:
• Infrastructure & CDN providers that deliver static assets
• Analytics/diagnostic tools (e.g., Vercel/Next.js built-in metrics)
• Google AdSense or other advertising partners when ads are shown
Each vendor processes data only on our instructions and under its own privacy commitments.
7. Security
We employ HTTPS, access controls, and regular dependency reviews. Because projects are stored locally, please keep your device secure, run the latest browser, and avoid using SketchDuck on shared/public computers when working with sensitive materials.
8. Your Choices
You can:
• delete project data at any time by clearing browser local storage
• block or delete cookies via your browser settings
• opt out of interest-based Google ads (see Google Ad Settings)
• contact us to inquire about logs related to your usage or to request deletion of inquiry records
9. Contact
